Honey is healthy for human though, birds cannot eat honey, no matter honey is raw, organic or regular one.

Honey may contain botulism, that can be fatal to birds. Although pasteurized honey is safe for bird, don’t take any risks as it is hard to know whether honey is pasteurized.

Pasteurization is the process of heating honey past the temperature of 100 degrees Celsius.

You may come across some bird food that contains honey, I highly recommend checking with the food manufacturer/supplier if the honey is pasteurized. If you are still unsure, we should choose foods that are healthy and safe for our birds.
