Birds can eat COOKED potatoes.

Potatoes are good for birds as potatoes provide birds with fiber, carbohydrates, healthy fats, various vitamins and minerals. However, RAW potato or potato PEELINGS contains protease inhibitors which prevents other enzymes from breaking down food, it can be bad for bird health by hindering birds from absorbing nutrients, also affect birds’ digestive system. Starch in RAW potatoes can also lead to food sitting in birds’ intestines and become moldy, that can be fatal to birds.

The best way is to boil the potatoes and cook them well before serving your birds. Remember not to add salt, oil, sugar and any seasonings.
