Bird owner should buy a birdcage as big as possible but not every home has space for a big cage. There is a variety of birdcages with different dimensions in the market. Remember, birds with wide wingspans need a bigger cage that allows them to flap their wings.
Small Size Birdcage

Suggested Dimension of Cage: at least 18″ x 18″ x 24″ to 24″ x 24″ x 24″
Suggested Thickness of Perch: 1/2″ or less






Middle Size Birdcage
Suitable for Grey Parrot, Monk Parakeet, Echo Parakeet, Pionus, Caique, Cockatoo, Conure, Crimson Rosella, Eclectus, Senegal, Cockatiels, Lory, Mini Macaw, Psittacula, Amazon, Jardine’s Parrot, or similar size

Large Size Birdcage
Suitable for Macaw, Large Cockatoo, Large Amazon, Echo Parakeet, Alexandrine Parakeet, Grey Parrot or similar size
Suggested Dimension of Cage Size: at least 36″ x 48″ x 48″ to 36″ x 48″ x 60″
Suggested Thickness of Perch: 1″ or more






When the bird holds the perch, it should have at least 1/3 circumference space of the perch.
